Retrolympics

2nd Retrolympics Tournament

012

The Retrolympics are a series of physical events based on the Olympic games (and on not so Olympic games) using several retrocomputing components instead of the usual elements that are used in common sports.

The essential requirements to participate are a competitive spirit, sportive conduct, appropriate fitness (ahem, ahem!) and, above all, wants of having fun.

Bases de las Retrolimpiadas

1) What are we talking about?

This is basically a tournament consisting of a specified number of events where the skill and fitness will be crucial to achieve the triumph.

It is not required to have any knowledge about retrocomputing to participate. It willconsist of events accessible to all kind of audiences.

The events must be made in the proposed order established by the organization and the competitor must participate in every single event to be eligible for final victory. In other words, it must begin and end each of the events in the order established by the organization.

2) Who wins?

The competitor who wins will be the one with the lowest total time invested and/or the one who gets the best overall records on the events. And based on this, an ordered list will be established with the competitors, which will list the 3 winners of the Retrolympics tournament.

In case of a tie, the competitor who has made the more best times on each event and will win the one who has made much better times and/or more records on each individual event. And if this also ends in a tie, fate will decide the winner.

3) What happens if a problem occurs?

Given the case, a committee of judges consisting of an odd number of members of the organization of RetroEuskal will settle fairly and without any appeal any problem or contingency that might arise before, during or after the Retrolympics.

4) Which are the prizes?

The recognition of the achievement by the entire community of users (and non-users also) of retrocomputing represented by a diploma that will be given to the 3 best classified people in Retrolympics.

Additionally the following prizes were given:
